Emotions

When he said, “I just want you to stay.” To do whatever it takes to keep me in you my arms. Stay with me even if times are challenging because I know you love me. I know that this is true.  Working on a Further Leave to Remain to stay here with you. The application process means hundreds of questions; lots of requirements; meeting every one. Submissions of different documents, photos and proofs; it’s really me; it is a true test of wills where the equation is patience, endurance and emotions.  Why does the truth require proof. I guess it … Continue reading Emotions

Light Captured

The sudden light of cloudburst sprinkles and pastel hues and hopscotch lines creating rainbow designs is the question in the artists eyes while nature answers to her why’s; what is this Light?  Is it electromagnetic radiation that is visible and perceivable by the human eye?  Is it the colours between red and violet.   Does it have frequencies of terahertz, wavelengths and nanometers; equal to one billionth of a metre?  Is there is the sensation of perceiving light; it is brightness and sudden light; the medium of illumination…is that what makes sight possible. There is the illumination where it’s derived … Continue reading Light Captured

Living for the Moments

Waltzing into my existence with shoes fit for  A Welsh guard.  Intentions of conquering the unknown, Within the melodies laughing in my heart, Holding my hand,  Unlike you did with the others.  Instead, you found me nestled in your arms; A proclamation of love; in that bearskin hat.  It wasn’t too hard to love you properly. Finding myself shine in the gleam of a smile,  Where I discovered you in the dark  In the depths of innocence,  I was dressed like Paddington Bear There was no denying you in that uniform,  Realising running was not an option.  That is when … Continue reading Living for the Moments

Strength in Knowledge

It is rare if you find someone who can completely turn your world around, but to find someone who loves the same things as you like traveling, exploring, music, culture and the arts and adventure; I think is even more rare.  We will tell each other things that we’ve never shared with another soul and together we will absorb everything. We will talk and actually you always want to hear more.  We will share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and listen to all life’s experiences that have been thrown us.  … Continue reading Strength in Knowledge

About Adventure

There is something about an adventure The beauty and elegance of the road, Finding places unseen before, Some more than a thousand years old. When exploring these hemispheres I feel there is an essence about it, An existence not seen by all, Discovering it’s secrets are sacred. They exist though pale in the light, You can see them moments before the dawn  Just when the light graces the earth, Wondering if heaven is like this. I see the nested sparrows rising;  Listening to the seagulls calling, The doves cooing in the morning And pigeons on a fence. It is a … Continue reading About Adventure

Midst of the Morning

We woke up this morning to find our beautiful hibiscus in full bloom. There has been none since Christmas. But somehow it knew this was the day. J took the photo this morning. I’ve never seen anything more beautiful. It was like it was just singing to me; reminded me of one of his songs. I love that.  The gentle hibiscus, A sweet scent of the morning  So entrenched in the beautiful  Satiny smooth whispers  Softly spoken vignette.  In the amber of the sun, Warm, rubescent rays  So scintillating in my window.  Lips so quiescent  Like a melody so … Continue reading Midst of the Morning

How To Write “I Love You”

When you can’t think of the right things to say, but you want to send some love with your wishes to someone. Maybe that is what Valentines Day is really about…But sometimes it’s good just to write and a chance to say how you feel and to not necessarily wait for Cupid.  Personally I know there have been times when I over think things. I become impatient, forgetting about the influences that surround me, but if I wait, eventually the right words will come.  Then, there are times when I should just sit back and wait for nature to … Continue reading How To Write “I Love You”
