Run by Snow Patrol

Run by Snow Patrol Run Lyrics I’ll sing it one last time for you Then we really have to go You’ve been the only thing that’s right In all I’ve done And I can barely look at you But every single time I do I know we’ll make it anywhere Away from here Light up, light up As if you have a choice Even if you cannot hear my voice I’ll be right beside you dear Louder louder And we’ll run for our lives I can hardly speak I understand Why you can’t raise your voice to say To think … Continue reading Run by Snow Patrol

Light Captured

The sudden light of cloudburst sprinkles and pastel hues and hopscotch lines creating rainbow designs is the question in the artists eyes while nature answers to her why’s; what is this Light?  Is it electromagnetic radiation that is visible and perceivable by the human eye?  Is it the colours between red and violet.   Does it have frequencies of terahertz, wavelengths and nanometers; equal to one billionth of a metre?  Is there is the sensation of perceiving light; it is brightness and sudden light; the medium of illumination…is that what makes sight possible. There is the illumination where it’s derived … Continue reading Light Captured

Moon flower

At night in the garden When everything comes alive There is sweet song It surrounds my heart. Beyond the quiet end of day, Whispering to the trees to pray, Laughing with the moon flower, Falling in love with the sunset, Consulting with the moon, Gazing up at the starry sky. With my hand over my heart, The hand other touching the earth, Discovering the generosity Here born of this Universe. Its beauty caresses my soul Then a gentle touch goodnight, Like a beautiful dream beginning, Moon colors blooming in mystery, Only at night of an unreal light, Translucent and pale. … Continue reading Moon flower

Myna Bird

Waking up this morning to the calls of two myna birds croaking, squawking and chirping along with the clicks and whistling whilst fluffing their feathers in their morning ritual bath. I was infatuated watching the two of them bob their head in singing. They bathe every morning in Christopher’s front garden in his pond. He said there were two guppies in the pond, but strangely they have gone missing somehow.  A few years ago, I would have not dream that I would be here in Sri Lanka, nor did I think I would be so curious as to watch myna … Continue reading Myna Bird

Endless love, see you down the road.” Leonard Cohen- “Letter to Marianne” Hallelujah https://mobile.twitter.com/LettersOfNote/status/796975123169509376   Maybe there’s a God above But all I’ve ever learned from love Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya And it’s not a cry that you hear at night It’s not somebody who’s seen the light It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah…. Selcouth

Selcouth (adj). The Origin of the word is Old English. It means strange and uncommon; the way you see things when you travel.  Everything seems different and foreign, and that is a good thing.  We travel to seek out the things we don’t see every day.  This is a photo I took on the cliffs above Langland Bay in Wales.   And even though its close to our home, it seems every time we travel there; this is a place where there is always something new and beautiful and different to see.  I love that.  Continue reading Selcouth

About Montmartre

We were in Montmartre again; there is a spirit there and it was if we were touched with life again. There, the gypsies were on the steps of Sacré Coeur as the temperature warmed up the day. We headed up to the top with our two little chihuahuas. Climbing with them we seemed to be a prominent feature following them up the steps. We were on everyone’s lips and they were adored by everyone.  We were finally back in Paris. It was summer. Love – amour – was our most popular subject for us. And Jim, my musician; where I … Continue reading About Montmartre
