We are situated offshore
At Langland Bay, but there’s more
It is truly something to see,
It’s a beautiful place to be.
Where Crab Island is actually a reef,
Creating powerful waves no less brief;
With its dangerous waves abreaking,
In the shallows of love for the taking.
While on honeymoon,in 1897 the French Impressionist painter Alfred Sisley made two watercolours of Langland Bay.
He painted from the Osborne Hotel which overlooked both Langland Bay and Rotherslade Bay as well as the beach huts that still exist.
Langland Bay is famous for its ‘community’ of green canvas beach huts and tents.
