So, we’ve been moving into our new home… I guess that what new couples do; is to collaborate on making a new spaces together.
Our newly made family is already quite large, with the two of us, two chihuahua’s and a feral cat; whom already seem to have utterly adopted me. It certainly makes for one big happy family.
Its a fairly decent size house I think. My new husband seems to have a need to have a space for all his hobbies.
As well as entertaining, and of course lots of couches for him and the doggies is a must.
He collects clocks and photos, you know. He has piles of them. The other night I had a dream about moving his stuff…maybe it’s possible.
Anyway the house we looked at today was four stories high, the steps up to the door, unattended, a bit looming, some were broken. A little touch up paint and new carpet is all it needs.
Maybe some lace curtains for the windows to coordinate with the green ivy wallpaper. Often I am tempted to turn it back to let it peek out at the surrounding world. After all how many layers could there be?
Except the edges had curled around the steps as if cradling the plaster, trying to protect it from further harm; filling the cracks as if to the greenery would try and heal them.
I think I love this house. Yep, this is the one; I think it once had a dungeon even. I love traditional Victorian Welsh houses…Now all we have to do is both agree on the colour of the paint. Perhaps a shade of green to go with the ivy wallpaper might be nice… Don’t you think so too?
